How do you know if I’m any good?

It is the age old question when scanning the internet or local ads to find a plumber, mechanic or electrician. How do you know if they are qualified, can be trusted or are even any good? For some people, it is simply a case of “my friend’s mate’s brother is quite good with cars…” but others would prefer a bit more solid evidence.

The first bit is actually quite straightforward. The new Registered Competent Person Electrical scheme shows you exactly which electricians in your area are working under Government approved qualifications. All you need to do is go to the website and search for the company you are considering using.

What about trustworthiness?

This is a less tangible measurement, but a good place to start is with testimonials. What is even better still is when there are pages and pages of testimonials; they are current, dated and supported by names of real local people.

So, when you have been assured that the electrician that you are looking to trust your family’s safety and power needs to is both known and qualified, you can sleep well at night. The days of looking in the Yellow Pages and hoping that they are any good are well and truly gone. The internet, social media, and tighter Government legislation has made choosing the right tradesmen more transparent than ever; and that has to be good news for everyone.

Safer for everyone!

Please spread the word of the Registered Competent Person Electrical scheme to your friends and family so that they can all benefit from safer electrical services.
