Kyle the inventor...

Be great in the ordinary and extraordinary in your dreams!

As kids, most of us were free to dream and enjoy our wild imaginations and expansive aspirations. So, when asked what we wanted to be when we grew up the answers ranged from astronaut and Premier League footballer, through to detective or full-on superhero. Then, as crazy ideas are left behind and replaced with the prospects of reality, we retreat to aims like office staff, factory worker, teacher or electrician.

Mad inventor… who’d have thought?

I will be the first to admit that school was not my thing, and that circumstance rather than heart’s desire led me to start up my own electrician firm. But since then, I have always been ready to seize opportunities when they were presented to me, worked hard and never settled for anything less than my best.

So, when I had an idea that I thought might help other electricians and tradespeople I didn’t hesitate to pursue its potential. Over two years later (with a lot of sweat, overcoming obstacles and persistence in between), I have just launched my new invention ‘The Duoxim Arbor’ with the help of Super Rod. Who’d have thought that six years ago, after being made redundant 10 days after qualifying that I’d be doing this?

If you can dream it, why not give it a go?

The purpose of this post is two-fold. Firstly, because I am massively proud of the service that my team put out there and the fact that our customers love us enough to keep recommending our work. Secondly, because being an inventor is one of those things that most people only dream of in life…

I would like to encourage anyone reading this that if they do the ordinary, everyday stuff really well they can achieve great things. But also, that they can afford to go for the bigger dreams too – What have you got to lose?

For anyone interested here is my new invention.
