Kyle founded KG Electrical Contractors in 2013, just a few years after qualifying as an electrician. What began as a one-man venture has grown into a trusted team known for high-quality electrical work and specialist garden lighting projects. With over 15 years’ experience in the trade, Kyle remains hands-on, solving problems on site and taking pride in seeing spaces transformed once the lights go on.
Kyle’s passion for lighting led him to launch Leora Lighting, an online store created to offer fittings that not only look good but perform reliably in real-world installations. The project was born from years of experience working with products that appeared ideal on paper but often fell short on site.
Teaching and sharing knowledge is a core part of Kyle’s work. Through the KG Academy, held every six weeks, he mentors his team and supports others navigating challenges he has faced himself. Passing on practical experience is one of the most rewarding aspects of his role.
Outside of work, life is busy and full. Kyle lives with his partner Sophie and is a proud dad. He keeps active with weekly PT sessions, the occasional 5k run, and over-35s six-a-side football — where he’s quickly learned he’s not quite as fast as he once was.
A long-suffering Watford FC supporter, Kyle has a soft spot for classic cars and enjoys spending time in the kitchen experimenting with new recipes — often surprising himself with the results.

“When the lights first come on at dusk — it never gets old.”
