Home › Meet The Team
A close knit team of electricians who care about the work, the details, and doing things properly for our customers.
Founder
Electrical Supervisor
Andy’s been in the electrical trade since 2013, coming up through an apprenticeship that gave him the solid foundation everything else is built on. Over a decade in, what still keeps him engaged is the people — meeting clients, working with his hands, solving problems as they come up, and being part of a team that genuinely cares about the work.
As Contracts Manager, Andy oversees projects from start to finish — out on site regularly, keeping standards where they need to be, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks. He’s the person the engineers turn to when they need a sounding board or a steady hand, and he takes that responsibility seriously. He’s just as particular about customer service and getting things right as Kyle is — which, if you know Kyle, is saying something.
The variety is what he values most: projects he’d never have touched elsewhere, and the kind of work that keeps you thinking.
Outside work, it’s all about good food. Cooking, firing up the BBQ, trying new places with his girlfriend at weekends, and time with mates.
What drives him?
Getting it right and keeping standards high — on every job, without exception.
Electrician
Joel has been part of the KG team for over seven years, making him one of our longest-serving and most dependable electricians. He started his electrical career in 2020, found his groove fast, and hasn’t looked back since.
What sets Joel apart is his attention to detail and his competitive streak — not in a flashy way, but in the way that makes him thorough, precise, and quietly driven to get things right. He thrives on problem-solving, works well with those around him, and there’s something he’ll tell you he never gets tired of: that moment when a project comes to life for the first time.
Off the clock, Joel keeps himself busy. Travelling, cooking, discovering new restaurants, and following Chelsea FC through thick and thin.
Favourite thing about the job?
Watching a project come together and knowing the work behind it was done properly.
Electrician
Dan’s the first one to crack a joke on site and the last one to leave a problem unsolved. He started out in 2010 and has become the reliable backbone of the team — the one you want on a job when things get complicated or when morale needs a lift.
When he’s not wiring up houses or keeping everyone entertained, Dan’s all about family time. You’ll find him with his partner and two daughters, tinkering with his marine aquarium (which he’ll happily talk your ear off about), hitting the gym, or cooking up something in the kitchen. He’s the sort of bloke who makes everything look easy, even when it isn’t.
What he’s known for?
Being dependable, keeping things light, and genuinely caring about getting it right.
Electrician
Jonathan didn’t start in electrical. He was a telecommunications engineer first but wanted more of a challenge and a proper trade behind him. So, at 19, he knocked on doors until someone gave him a shot, and he’s been grafting since 2019.
What he loves about the job is that it’s never the same twice. He gets the independence to manage his own tasks, with the support of a solid team around him when he needs it. It’s engaging, it’s rewarding, and it keeps him on his toes.
Jonathan’s the one who always looks sharp — he takes pride in how he presents himself, on site and off. Outside of work, he’s in the gym, playing sports, or making time to travel whenever the opportunity comes up.
Why he’s here?
For the challenge, the variety, and the chance to keep improving.
Electrical Improver
Lewis joined KG in 2023 and has thrown himself into the trade from day one. Working towards full qualification by 2027, he’s made solid progress and brings real enthusiasm to everything he turns his hand to.
What he appreciates most is the variety — one day he’s working on a garden lighting installation, the next a residential job, then a commercial fit-out. It keeps things interesting and means he’s building a broad skillset across the business.
What he values most about KG is the culture. The friendships, the knowledge being passed around, and being part of a team where people genuinely look out for each other.
Outside of work, Lewis keeps it simple — weekends are for his mates and his girlfriend, and that’s exactly how he likes it.
What drives him?
Learning the trade properly, taking pride in the work, and being part of a team worth showing up for.
Electrical Improver
Ollie made a deliberate move into the electrical trade, drawn by the variety of the work and the chance to develop a skillset that lasts. Since joining KG he’s built a solid foundation of skills while working across a range of projects — helping clients transform their homes and workspaces into something genuinely better.
What he values about KG is straightforward: it’s a team of honest people all pulling in the same direction. No politics, no nonsense — just good work done properly.
Outside the job, Ollie has a distinctive hobby — foraging for ingredients and cooking them into meals for his family. He’s also someone who believes in community and looking out for those around him, whether that’s on site or off it.
